How to Set Up a Nursery: A Checklist for a Safe, Simple Room

For the first 6 months (ideally until their first birthday) your baby should sleep in your room, but on their own separate, firm surface — a travel cot or crib. That's the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) advice. So in the early months the nursery is really a changing, dressing and storage room. Knowing that saves a lot of unnecessary spending.
